MSU Ortho Research Database - Med Student View

1. Complete the attached form, you complete Section I, the physician researcher you are working with will complete Section II, then send to me (Trottier) for a signature at the bottom.

2. Once the form from #1 is complete, send it to Inta Mednis of Spectrum Health’s Office of Research & Education (SHORE) at [email protected]

   1. Inta will set you up with an account in Workday if you don’t have one yet, and there will be several tasks for you to complete that will be assigned in Workday. This includes some HR things (if you don’t have a Spectrum ID badge yet), Conflict of Interest training, some forms/acknowledgments, and other things.

3. Complete CITI training – go here: https://www.spectrumhealth.org/research-and-clinical-trials/irb/education-and-training and follow the instructions for Initial Training

4. At some point you will be granted access privileges for the EMR and data storage drives, possibly REDCap too. For these things, I don’t know how that happens or what needs to be done, so if you get through this process and you are waiting for access, just contact Inta Mednis and she can help you or let you know who to contact for help.
